PROPULSION SYSTEMS

Propeller, Propulsion System & OD Box Overhauling

ADAMECHANIC workshop can perform CPP, FPP, Bow Thruster, Stern Thruster, Stabilizer, Azimuth propulsion system overhauling by using the technology together with the expertise, know-how and the repair standards of the reputable classification societies. The workshop has also approved procedure for performing broken/worn/cracked propeller repairs, CPP blade root surface re-conditioning by bohrwerk and also has FPP propeller balancing bench and CPP hub machining capability.   In addition, OD box overhauling is also under our scope of services together with our well experienced engineers and site mechanics including seal replacement, machining if it is necessary, bush re-producing & replacement etc.

Rudder & Steering Gear

ADAMECHANIC workshop can handle any kind of rudder repairs, including rudder stock re-conditioning & re-producing, bush bearing re-producing from various materials such as Thordon/Orkot/brass etc, vertical machining for re-alignment and can procedure rudders as per approved drawings by class societies. In addition, our mechanical teams give professional service for overhauling the ram type and rotary vane type steering gears and its power pack units including seal replacement, overhauling the hydraulic pistons, etc.

Tail Shaft

ADAMECHANIC workshop can lift tail shafts up to 9 meters and 1 meter diameter to its lathe machine for any kind of tail shaft repairs and re-conditioning purposes. The workshop has also raw materials and approved procedure for producing new tail shafts. In our facility we are able to dismantle complete hub and push rod shaft in order to complete a full tail shaft maintenance and repair service.

Stern Tube Bearing / Chrome Liner / Seal Housing

ADAMECHANIC workshop can produce different size of chrome liners and seal housings by its own resources and machinery park. In the workshop we have stock chrome liners with different sizes ready to serve any time needed during special surveys and docking periods of the shipowners. Also, we are able to re-condition stern tube bearings, chrome liners by white metal coating & machining. With this aspect we are able to achieve original measurements wherever it is needed in short period of time. Our engineers and mechanics also have high experience on re-packing the shaft seal housings in all brands such as SKF-Simplex, Wartsila-Cedervall, etc.
